Journey Passover Fellowship Dinner $7/person - Friday, April 15th, 5:30pm at Journey* ** *main course, beverages and traditional items provided **option to register to bring table settings and accompaniment dishes Please register including your Name: ___________________________________ Contact #: ___________________________________ # In party: ___________________________________ Will you be bringing table settings for those in your group? (See “Checklist” below, and if so, please arrive by 4:30pm and bring two extra table settings.) Will you be bringing a side dish to share? Feel free to search the internet for recipes for traditional Passover accompaniment dishes. The cost is $7/person. The main course food, the beverages and the traditional accompaniments will be provided. You will be able to pay using cash/chuck or the Joruney Roseburg app the night of the event. Traditionally, before the temple in Jerusalem was destroyed in 70AD, a priestly-blessed roasted lamb was served. However, since today there is no temple in Jerusalem, nor are there functioning priests, a roasted lamb shank is placed in the center of the table representing longing for the rebuilding of the temple, and typically some other roasted animal is served. We will serve roasted chicken. Along with the roasted chicken, we will also provide these necessary accompanying items: hard-boiled egg; roasted shank bones; parsley (called karpas); a mixture of fruit, wine, and nuts, (called charoset); ground horseradish (called maror); matzah crackers; grape juice and water. (Wine is optional for you to bring if you wish to serve it to adults only in your group.) Checklist: - Tablecloth/napkins - Candles (lots) - Dishes and utensils (formal optional) - Glassware (one water and one wine) - A small bowl for salt water (each) - An extra wine goblet (for Elijah) - One serving dish for karpas (above) - One serving dish for charoset (above) - One serving dish for maror (above) - One plate & linen cloth for matzah - One basin and towel for washing - One pillow per person (optional) The Way of the Cross - Experience the last hours of Jesus' journey to the cross. 5pm - 9pm at Green Community Church, 3777 Carnes Rd., Roseburg, OR 97471.
