County Grounds Parks Land Stewardship - Volunteer Spring Wildflower Seed Planting sponsored by Youth Friends of County Grounds Park **Important location information in bold below** All youth and community volunteers are welcome to join us for several hours of planting wildflower seeds at County Grounds Park. This event is the culmination of 2021 buckthorn removal, Youth Friends fundraising, matching community donations, and support from Milwaukee County Parks. This is also an amazing restoration of the historic sunken gardens area - abandoned for nearly 50 years - again becoming a garden! This is an easy activity for all ages and ideal for families ! No experience is needed. Training, seeds, and equipment will be provided. Bring your favorite gloves, or we will have some to loan. Registration is requested for coordination purposes. Consider bringing your own water container, we will have additional water onsite. Drive ~1 block north of 92nd and Watertown Plank Road. Parking shown at map. Meet at the historic sunken gardens due east (on map) - additional park map at: www.countygroundsfriends.org Dress for the weather, we will hold event unless there is lightning.
