Explore & learn as the City of Wauwatosa, in collaboration with the Forest Exploration Center, hosts World Migratory Bird Day The City of Wauwatosa, in collaboration with the Forest Exploration Center (FEC), invites you to celebrate World Migratory Bird Day on Saturday May 14, 2022, at 8:30 am at the FEC's Nature Trail, 1800 Forest Exploration Drive in Wauwatosa. The City of Wauwatos is proud to be recognized as a Bird City Wisconsin. Observe, explore and discover on a 90 minute spring migration hike, led by Mark McNally, life long birder and associate professor at the Medical College of Wisconsin. We hope to catch views of colorful returning migratory birds, along with many year round residents. Mark will also address the significant threat light pollution poses to migratory birds. The trail offers a one-mile loop of exploration and discovery under the canopy of the shaded woodland and was designed and built specifically for wheelchair, foot traffic and strollers only. Binoculars are recommended, but not required. All are welcome but Tour size is limited to 12 and may fill up quickly. We also have a second tour beginning at 6:30 am. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/wauwatosa-spring-bird-tour-at-the-forest-exploration-center-630-am-tickets-317161046227 Note that accessible parking is available, but limited, at the FEC's Main Entrance.
