Description
THE GREEN GIG Locally Grown: Celebrating its 11th year, THE GREEN GIG is an annual locally grown tradition! Mark your calendars for Saturday, May 14th to attend our 11th Annual The Green Gig™ Art Show & Auction! Join us as we celebrate "The Hundred Languages of Children,” an Art Show featuring the creativity and ingenuity of the students at GGHF Curious by Nature School. At CBNS we believe every child is an inquiry-driven, independent thinker, capable of sharing their knowledge in different languages. Our fun-filled evening includes an art show, bidding for unique items and experiences, and locally sourced appetizers, charcuterie and beverages. Proceeds benefit our nature-based early learning programs and the Stewards Scholarship Fund, which helps assure that all children in our community, regardless of socioeconomic background, have the opportunity to receive high quality early education. At CBNS we provide daily opportunities to play and learn outside. This unique, outdoor education model helps to support children's curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, and resilience while preparing them to be engaged community members and environmental stewards. Soft drinks and welcome drink included. Wine and beer available for purchase. Doors open 6 p.m. Get your tickets today - The Green Gig sells out quickly every year! Proceeds benefit the Stewards Scholarship Fund and the Foundation's work to help bridge the early learning access gap in our community. Since 2012, the Foundation has provided more than $175,000 in support of early childhood education for more than 400 area children by underwriting a portion of tuition costs for every student, and more than $30,000 in additional assistance provided through the scholarship fund. Established in 2013, the fund helps give all children, especially those in greatest need, the strong start they need and deserve.
