Learn to craft your very own textile art rainbow! In this three hour workshop, hosted by Artisans Thrive and Amie Krug of Boriya & Co, we will breeze over the history of macramé; and teach you how to craft a beautiful macrame rainbow! We will also cover topics such as: -measuring rope for future projects -where to source supplies -how to make your own patterns and designs -answer all your questions with hands-on help This class is open to beginners and includes all materials for your rainbow! Coffee and tea will be provided. Artisans Thrive is an ethical, fair trade boutique based in Edgewater Public Market whose mission is to accelerate skills, income, and capacity for female artisans worldwide while emboldening customers to make ethical purchases. Participants will receive 15% off at Artisans Thrive on the day of the workshop! Amie Phillips is a fiber artist currently living and working in Denver, CO and running Boriya & Co. She received her BFA in Fine Art from Palm Beach Atlantic University, and developed a love for textile design during her years spent in Rajasthan, India. After three summers as a river guide she repurposed her knotting skills into an Macrame. Amie has run Boriya & Co and taught macrame workshops since 2015, and enjoys sharing her love for the craft with others.
