GAITHERSBURG, MD — The City of Gaithersburg is building a new park at the former Consumer Product Safety Commission site, and residents are invited to suggest names for consideration. The new park, located at 10901 Darnestown Rd., will span 9.5 acres and feature community, gardens, a playground, a bicycle skills course, fitness and picnic pods, pavilions, and a welcome plaza. Residents can submit name suggestions here through Dec. 7. A park naming committee made up of city staff members will review all suggestions and select three to submit to the mayor and city council for their final determination.
