The City of Groton seeks community participation in refining a “City of Groton” tagline.
The objective of the Tagline Workshop is to bring together a focus group of roughly 20 community members to assist in refining a “City of Groton” tagline.
Purpose of a tagline
A City of Groton tagline is not to be confused with the city seal. it's an independent brand designed to communicate what makes the City of Groton unique and appealing through a combination of visual identity tools and easy-to-recall wordmarks. A thoughtful and authentic brand will help boost economic development, tourism and retain current businesses/residents through affirmation of their choice to select/invest in the City of Groton.Expectation
It is expected that a City of Groton brand be a comprehensive, adaptable and adoptable tool. It must be authentic and reflective of both current conditions and realistic future state. The selected solution should function in all forms (print, digital, animated, etc.) and across all reproduction methods (from billboards to t-shirts). Impact
A well-done City of Groton tagline, based on research and authenticity can impact all aspects of community — from residential pride to new business perceptions.
