Description
GAITHERSBURG, MD — We can all use a little extra holiday cheer this year. And Rio shopping center has put out all the stops to make it happen.
Debuting earlier this month, Rio Junction Station is a colorful train display that's reminiscent of the hustle and bustle of yesteryear. Marvel at tiny tin trains as they zip through a bustling miniature town filled with gleaming skyscrapers, suspension bridges, airplanes, and stations with passengers made of metal.
The magical window display, located at 201 Boardwalk Place, was assembled and created by Jila Shams and John Larson of Two Hands Concepts/Design.
Trains operate every day from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and from 5 to 8 p.m.
