We are a passionate group of women (and men!) who love to learn about and support cool charities that are Movers and Shakers in Utah Valley. About this event Several years ago the owner of Best Buy decided to partner with the 100 Women Who Care network to distribute charitable donations across the United States. They implemented their program in stages and they have finally come to Utah! We are so excited to be able to leverage our donation in such a powerful way by 50%! We have also partnered with Costa Vida to subsidize the cost of the luncheon for the first 20 people to register and pay for this add-on! First... The Costa Vida Salad Bar will be from 11:30 am- 12 noon (for $7/person plus eventbrite fee) and the meeting will be from 12 noon to 1 pm (absolutely free!). We look forward to visiting and getting to know each other during this second meeting of 2022! We are grateful to the Younique Foundation for hosting our meeting at the Defend Innocence Building in Lehi. Then... We will hear from our fall impact winner...Timpanogos Legal Center. They are a group of attorneys who provide free legal assistance. They hold free legal clinics throughout the state and provide a free legal advice hotline. They primarily seek to serve victims of domestic violence and those without monetary means to retain an attorney for their case. Finally... After their report, we will learn about three local charities (if you want to present in the future then please let us know!!!) for 5 minutes each. To qualify for the matching grant the charities must align with the Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation Mission which is to strengthen and support initiatives in education, health care, and human services that benefit humankind. If you have a charity to nominate please let us know! We ask questions, vote, and BAM! Donate 100 bucks directly to the winner (you only vote if you will donate). No accounting, no fees, no stress.
