The Milltown IDEA is hosting a community-led Multicultural Festival to promote diversity within the community of Milltown. Tell us you're coming! The Milltown IDEA is hosting a Multicultural Festival at the Gloria Bradford Borough Park on Saturday, May 14th, 2021, between the hours of 12pm-5pm. There will be a number of guest performances, shop vendors, and speakers representing a range of diverse groups including Native American/Indigenous, Black and African, AAPI, Latinx cultures along with members of the LBTQ+ community and other underrepresented groups. There will be a host of activities to participate in such as community roundtables, art demonstrations, and activities hosted by local organizations. Should you get hungry while attending the festival, stop by any of the multiple foods and dessert trucks/stations onsite. LIVE MUSIC : DJ Lady C PERFORMANCES BY : Cliff Matias (a Taino Tribe member and Director of the Redhawk Native American Arts Council) Karen Miles (Director of Zawadi African Dance and Drum) and more... SPEAKERS FROM: Milltown Borough Council Milltown Human Relations Committee Milltown Local Library and more... If you can, please bring canned and packaged non-perishable food items to contribute to our Milltown Gives Back donation drive. All food will be donated to PRAB. We also encourage you to bring chairs and blankets. Seating will be provided but will be limited to a first-come, first-served basis.
