The Corpus Christi Juneteenth Festival and 10 Days of Jubilee Celebration Event is FREE and open to the public. Come see Cupid and Chalie Boy LIVE! The Corpus Christi Juneteenth Festival and 10 Days of Jubilee Celebration is a series of cultural events designed to support the Corpus Christi community and improve quality of life of residents in a focus area – the Hillcrest neighborhood. These celebrations commemorate the 10 days of General Grainger’s ride to Galveston and reading of the Emancipation Proclamation (known as Juneteenth). All celebrations include cultural literacy, education regarding the holiday, student enrichment activities, food and art (hand painted and digital). The premise is to encourage diversity, equity and inclusion at all events with all participants and all performers. The Juneteenth Festival will also showcase re-enactments, food trucks, wares, medical testing and showcase other non profit/cultural organizations. It’s a learning experience for all.
