A fun-run (or walk) benefitting The Jordan Project Ministries, serving children in the Child Protective Services system. Join FreaksRC and The Jordan Project Ministries on Saturday, April 30th, beginning at 1PM at Buffalo Bayou Park for a fun-run benefiting children in the Child Protective Services system. We are proud to partner with Saucony to provide new pairs of running shoes and Fleet Feet - Greenbriar to provide new running socks to every child serviced by the Jordan Project, in attendance. FreaksRC will sponsor club t-shirts for these children in attendance, as well. This event will feature a gifting of these donated items, a one or two mile run or walk, and a community gathering for all involved. A small, catered lunch will be provided for all in attendance. Make An ImpactThe Jordan Project Ministries is 100% volunteer-run, with all donations going directly towards the following programs. New clothing, gifts, and parties celebrating birthdays each month. Numerous holiday parties and gatherings. Various field trips and outings. All events are held in coordination with Resident Treatment Centers, at no cost to them, with the goal of providing comforts, community, and guidance that would be missing otherwise. A $5 donation towards the Jordan Project Ministries will provide snacks and drinks for various year-round events. A $10 donation will provide a meal for at least one child for various year-round events. A $20 donation will provide gifts of clothing for at least one child during a monthly birthday celebration. A $25 donation will provide a child with a FreaksRC t-shirt, finisher’s award, and snacks at our fun-run event on April 30th, 2022. If looking at the Water Works and Visitor's Center, follow the left-most path as if you are going down towards the Bayou.Parking: There is limited street parking on Sabine St. There is a small, free lot to the right of the Water Works/Visitor's Center building. City Lot H is large and free on weekends. This lot is directly across Sabine St., next to the Fonde Community Center.Donations & Attendance: The Jordan Project Ministries is 100% volunteer-run, with all donations going directly towards various year-round programs. Attendance is encouraged, but not required to place a donation.
