Group for teen boys ages 14-17 to find support along the journey towards adulthood. Are peer pressures, COVID/pandemic challenges, academic stress, overstretched extracurricular activities and friends, family, or relationship dramas pushing you towards burnout? Join us to work on developing positive coping skills in a supportive, safe environment. There is a real need for counseling for teens and not enough counselors to go around. IMT is hoping to bridge that gap by offering a safe refuge share and find support with The Zone - a Counselor-led peer-to-peer support group for male teens faced with covid depression, high school anxiety, mental health challenges and/or difficult family dynamics. The Zone offers a convenient and safe place for teens to connect, share stories and encouragement. Positive social support is a critical component to developing into a healthy adult. HOW WILL THE GROUP WORK?Through talk therapy, fun interactive activities, and emotional regulation techniques like yoga and meditation, young men will find personal growth and healing. WHAT WILL I GET OUT OF THE GROUP?Male Teens will learn how to respect themselves, establish productive boundaries, develop strong self worth and confidence to grow into the future.
