Equipment Operator Job Description These operators will be required to load and unload flat bed trucks in an safe and efficient manner. Along with loading and unloading flatbeds, they will assist the movement of different types of material throughout their respective areas. When forklift operation is not necessary, they are required to assist in variety of other jobs through out the yard. These additional tasks will be unpacking boxes, sorting metal, breaking down material in a variety of different ways, and other tasks as needed. Some days you will do nothing but loading and unloading, and some days you will be helping around with multiple different tasks. Job Requirements: • 2 years of heavy forklift operation experience. Current forklift certification a huge plus. • Reliable transportation to and from work. • Must be able to work out doors in all weather conditions. • Must be able to be on your feet for 8 hours a day if needed. • Must by willing to do multiple jobs. • Must be comfortable using hand tools such as sockets, wrenches, impact guns, pry bars and hammers.
