Caltrol is Hiring a Shop Technician in Livermore, CA! Caltrol is looking for a full-time Shop Technician to join our team in Livermore, CA. You will be responsible for providing quality control and validating materials ordered matches material received. Provides quality control and validation that material shipped matches supporting documentation. Responsible for maintaining the integrity of on-hand inventory. Candidate also will work to assemble industrial and sanitary hose products and pressure gauge assemblies. Our ideal candidate is a mechanically inclined and willing to learn. Primary Responsibilities: Assembly and testing of hose products and pressure gauge assemblies represented or offered by Caltrol, Inc. or its principles. Occasionally required to interact with customers, principals and other employees via telephone, e-mail or in person, to ensure the customer’s, as well as Caltrol’s requirements are met. Inventory control and standard warehouse procedures Compliance to Caltrol Quality and Safety policy Timely & accurate input of shipping & receiving data into the Caltrol business system. Verify stock orders are shipped in compliance with the customer order documents, including correct quantity, proper tagging and requested shipping method. Maintain the staged inventory including the identification of missing or late material for follow-up by purchasing personnel. Assist with the prioritization of shop assemblies by staging orders with complete bill of materials in order to meet requested ship dates. Maintain the cycle count schedule per company directive, including researching any identified inventory discrepancies. Maintain assigned warehouse space, including consolidation and space optimization. Other duties as assigned. Skills: Good Mechanical knowledge Ability to understand and safely use standard hand tools Ability to read and interpret written work instructions and technical manuals. Attention to Detail Required: High School Diploma or GED 1-3 Years of experience in warehouse operations and/or demonstration of general mechanical competency Strong Customer Service skills Verbal and written skills to effectively communicate Self-motivated and can work with minimal supervision Verbal and written skills to effectively communicate. Willingness to work overtime as the situation requires. Promote a safe work environment. Preferred: Background in product assembly Forklift experience, both sit down and stand-up Knowledge of products represented by Caltrol, Inc.: Ashcroft, ASCO, Crane/Saunders, and others
