BROOKLYN, NY — A man robbed a Brooklyn gas station at gunpoint and ran off with $1,000 in cash this week, police say. At about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, a man walked into a BP gas station on the corner of Third Avenue and Butler Street, near the border of Park Slope, and pointed a black gun at a worker behind the counter, demanding that he hand over cash, according to the NYPD. The man then grabbed $1,000 in cash from the register and ran off down Third Avenue, police said, noting that no one was hurt during the robbery. Police described the armed robber as six-feet, three-inches tall and included a surveillance photo taken at the gas station, which shows him holding a gun at the counter. As of Wednesday, though, the incident is still under investigation and no arrests have been made, police said.
