MEDFORD, MA — The Medford Police Department is selling special edition autism patches starting April 1 to support Autism Awareness Month, said the department in a Twitter post Thursday. All proceeds from the patches will be donated directly to the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism, Inc., an organization that provides critical, responsive, and innovative programming and services that answer the everyday challenges of keeping people with autism safe and included in their communities. The Medford police autism patches are $10 each and can be purchased via Venmo here with your address included in the note or direct message the Facebook page "Medford Police Patrolmen's Association" with your address.
