Environment Control is currently seeking a reliable and experienced Floor Technician that will be responsible for completing carpet/floor care, including window washing on assigned schedules, and other special clean-up jobs. This position may also cover for our janitorial staff when absent. Report directly to Operations Manager and inform them when scheduled work is completed • Floor care -- strip/wax/buff floors, bonneting and extracting carpets. Wet vac water damages • Basic janitorial -- vacuum, mop, dust, trash, bathrooms, break rooms and offices • Train janitorial staff as needed Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Other Skills and Abilities: Must possess a valid, current driver's license and/or have on-time, alternate transportation to arrive at each work location. Language Skills: Bilingual preferred but not required. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Must be mechanically inclined in regard to equipment and facilities maintenance and repair.
