Description

From the City of Appleton: April 7, 2022 The Appleton Street reconstruction project (College Ave to Atlantic St) is scheduled to start Monday, April 11th and is expected to be complete by July 15th. Appleton Street will be closed to thru traffic for the duration of the project and a detour will be established along College Avenue, Richmond Street, and Wisconsin Avenue. Washington Street and Packard Street intersections with Appleton Street will remain open to east/west traffic for the duration of the project. Within the timeframe of the project schedule, as mentioned above, there are a couple of interim completion dates that apply to certain portions of the project. Those are detailed as follows: Appleton Street, between College Avenue and Washington Street, is estimated to be complete and open to traffic by May 27th. Appleton Street, between Packard Street and Atlantic Street, is estimated to be complete and open to traffic by June 17th. Access to the City Center alley and Finance Department drive-thru will remain open for the duration of the project. All traffic coming out of the alley will be directed north to exit Appleton Street onto Washington Street. Please note that work on the sidewalk/driveway apron/asphalt through the alley may require that the Finance drive-thru be temporarily unavailable.
