DANVERS, MA — Danvers Electric recently received national recognition for reliability and low outages times in 2021.
The American Public Power Association, a trade group that represents more than 200 nonprofit community electric utilities, said its Reliability Team found that Danvers Electric customers averaged 46 minutes of outage time per year — which is well below the 136 minutes of average U.S. utilities.
"We are proud to receive this recognition," said Danvers Utility Director David Lane. "It is a testament to the hard work of all our staff to ensure that we keep Danvers powered.
"Our team continues to proactively maintain our system through equipment upgrades and fast action when the lights do go out."
