Shooting At LI Mall Puts Stores On Lockdown

GARDEN CITY, NY — The Roosevelt Field Mall was sent into lockdown Wednesday night after gunfire erupted outside one of the stores, Nassau County police said. According to police, a man and woman leaving Nordstrom got into an argument with two men entering the store. One of the men then pulled out a gun and fired three shots toward the couple, but did not hit them. Police say the men were both of average build, wearing all-black clothes and face masks. Police say they fled the scene in separate black four-door sedans. The men then fled the scene in a gray Mercedes with New Jersey license plates, heading south on the Meadowbrook Parkway. Nordstrom and other stores at the mall were put on lock down as a precaution. No one was injured.
