BOSTON — Two window washers were rescued after getting stuck outside the 42nd floor of a skyscraper in downtown Boston Thursday afternoon.
According to Boston firefighters, the two workers were in a mechanical basket outside 100 Sudbury Street, a luxury apartment building when something went wrong, causing the scaffold to dangle in the air.
Firefighters responded to the scene and said they were able to remove a window and pull the two men out of the basket and into the building.
The workers' names have not been released, but firefighters say they are in their 30s.
Boston Fire DepartmentFirefighters say the men were in "good spirits" and were secured and connected to a safety harness during the rescue operation. There were no injuries reported.
The cause of the collapse is under investigation.
