Description
RESTON, VA — Look Dine Cinemas Co., a Texas-based theater chain, has filed permits with Fairfax County for the property being vacated by Bow Tie Cinemas in Reston Town Center.
Earlier this week, RestonNow reported that Bow Tie did not renew its lease for this year, according to Boston Properties, which owns and operates town center properties.
RestonNow reported that the company was expected to leave in May and that RTC had signed a lease with an unnamed theater operator for the space.
Since then, Look Dine Cinemas has filed a permit with the county for the property at 11940 Market St. in Reston, which is the current address of the Bow Tie Cinemas.
In the permit, Look Dine is seeking approval to add recliners to auditoriums 5-11, a new kitchen on the upper level, and walk-in coolers to the upper mezzanine level, as well as other finishes throughout.
Patch has left messages with Look Dine Cinemas Co., asking if it is taking over the lease and what are its opening plans.
Patch has also reached out to Boston Properties for confirmation that Look Dine is the theater company that has signed the lease for the center's movie theater space.
