DARIEN, CT — A catalytic converter was recently cut and stolen from a car parked in Darien, according to police.
In a news release, Police Sgt. Dan Skoumbros said officers responded to a West Avenue parking lot after receiving a report of a stolen catalytic converter on March 29.
According to Skoumbros, a woman told police she saw a man remove something from a vehicle parked in the lot.
The witness told officers she heard drilling noises and saw the man under a vehicle. It was later determined the catalytic converter had been cut from the vehicle, Skoumbros said.
