Plant Trading Is A Very Cool Thing In Murrieta

MURRIETA, CA — Earth Day 2022 will be celebrated on April 22, and the Murrieta Public Library and the Inland Empire Plant Traders are helping local residents get a jumpstart this weekend. From 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, the community is invited to a "Plant Trade" event at the library located at 8 Town Square. The event rules are simple: Bring the plant(s) you want to trade. In addition to potted plants, trading can also include seeds, cuttings or accessories. Trading begins at 10:15 a.m. April 9; no exchanging will be allowed ahead of time. There will be no buying or selling, and the event is free and open to everyone. In addition to trading, there will be interactive and educational events taking place including exhibitors, seed planting, kids' crafts (rock painting, sand slime, and planet Earth art), and take-home salsa garden kits for teens.
