JOB SUMMARYWe are currently looking for a Full-Time Dining Room Service Assistant / Server who is responsible for smooth operation of the dining room and fine dining experience for Villa Marin Residents under the supervision of the Dietary Services Managers. They will coordinate dining room activities and meal services as signed by supervisor. They will assure that resident’s needs and expectations are met and will work with dining room staff so the dining room functions productively. They are responsible for completion of records, reports, and billing paperwork for the department. SCHEDULE Full-Time, 40 hours per weekFriday/Saturday/Monday/Tuesday 11:30am-8:00pmSunday 7:00am-3:30pmShifts will include mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS High school graduate.Minimum three year experience in food service, with at least one year in lead Server role.Country Club or Luxury Retirement Community experiences a plus.Able to provide guidance in a positive manner.Strong communications skills and ability to direct residents and peer staff for smooth dining room experience.Possess good common sense and ability to make informed judgments.Understanding of needs and physical issues of the elderly.Knowledge of dining room procedures and service techniques and fiscal policies and procedures in food service capacity, as well as all Villa Marin policies and procedures. REQUIREMENTSRequired to maintain confidentiality of information pertaining to staff and residents. Must be capable of performing the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations. Must meet health assessment requirements as regulated by the California Department of Social Services, including TB testing and fingerprint clearance required by Community Care Licensing through the State of California Department of Justice background check bureau.
