DARIEN, IL – Darien police released their latest blotter Thursday. Here is information from the latest police reports: Domestic battery Leticia Brown, 43, of Darien, was arrested about 9:30 p.m. March 31 in the 1600 block of 71st Street on two counts of domestic battery. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail. Retail theft Kyesha Harris, 23, of Romeoville, and Takayla Rooks, 24, of Woodridge, were cited about 1 p.m. Friday at Walmart, 2189 75th St., on charges of retail theft. According to a police report, they failed to scan some items at the self-checkout and began walking out without paying for them. They were released and given dates to appear in court. Evelyn Hermoza, 31, of Westmont, was cited about 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Walmart, 2189 75th St., on a charge of retail theft. According to a police report, video surveillance showed her failing to scan all the items in the self-checkout lane and then putting them in a cart. The items were worth $181. She was released and given a date to appear in court. A man stole a bag full of liquor and food about 4:30 p.m. March 29 at Jewel, 7329 Cass Ave. Damage A bottom window in a vacant storefront was reported shattered March 29 at 2113 75th St. Officers entered the building and found a golf ball-sized rock inside. Damage was estimated at $200. Missing items A woman at Walmart, 2189 75th St., told police that her makeup bag and wallet went missing from her purse about 2:30 p.m. March 30. The loss was $382. Driving violations Raymond Herrera, 45, of Cicero, was cited about 1:30 p.m. March 29 in the 7900 block of Cass Avenue on a charge of driving with a revoked license. He was released and given a date to appear in court. Nadia Freitag, 19, of Bolingbrook, was cited about 8 a.m. Saturday in the 7900 block of Lemont Road on charges of driving with a suspended license and speeding. She was released and given a date to appear in court. Warrant Jamal Campbell, 30, of Darien, was arrested about 11 a.m. Sunday in the 8300 block of Cass Avenue on a DeKalb County warrant charging failure to appear in court. He also was cited on a charge of improper window tinting. He was released and given a date to appear in court. Police report information is provided by local police departments.
