ROYAL OAK, MI — A Detroit man was arrested Wednesday morning after police said he robbed two Royal Oak dry cleaning stores within days of each other.
Police found the robber and his vehicle in Lincoln Park, as Royal Oak Police worked with several downriver police departments, including Allen Park, Southgate, and Wyandotte, police said.
The 55-year-old Detroit man was expected to be charged after the cases are reviewed by the Oakland County prosecutor's office, police said.
Police said the man first robbed Martinizing Dry Cleaners store Friday when he demanded money from an employee, threatening he was armed with a weapon. He then attempted to rob the Sylvia's Dry Cleaners store Tuesday afternoon, before running out of the store without any money.
