BERKELEY, CA – Unseasonably high temperatures are expected to warm parts of the Bay Area including Berkeley and surrounding areas through Friday the National Weather Service said.
Temperatures in Berkeley could reach the mid to upper 80s today and could hit 90 on Friday, according to the National Weather Service.
The NWS has not issued a heat advisory or warning for Berkeley, but the agency is advising all Bay Area residents to hydrate, wear light-colored clothing and avoid outdoor activities during the afternoon.
The South Bay and Tri-Valley areas could see temperatures in the 90s today and Central Valley temperatures are expected to reach the mid-90s.
The region is expected to start cooling off over the weekend, with temperatures topping out in the low 70s on Saturday.
The NWS is forecasting a chance of showers early Tuesday morning.
