WHO WE ARE Glo Windows and Doors is a Missoula Montana-based window and door company focused on the sales, fabrication, and installation of modern, high-performing European-style windows and doors for passive or custom, luxury residential building projects. Glo actively aims to reduce environmental impact by creating world-class windows and doors that promote energy efficiency and conservation. WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR We’re looking for a Service and Installation Tech that can provide technical support to builders, window installers, dealers, and homeowners for residential and commercial projects. The person in this position is responsible for traveling to customer locations and performing maintenance, installation, and service repairs of our European window and door systems throughout our territory. Core competencies will include a high degree of mechanical aptitude, familiarity with building performance, understanding of work orders, related manuals, blueprints, and schematic diagrams to determine tasks to be performed and tools, equipment, and parts needed for service assignment. This position reports to the Service and Installation Manager. RESPONSIBILITIES • Advise builders, dealers, and other customers on how to properly install, adjust, and flash Glo Windows and doors • Supervise installation to ensure all windows and doors are installed properly. • Supervise and support unloading of containers full of windows and doors • Diagnose cause of improperly functioning windows and doors • Identify which parts need to be ordered and place an order with the appropriate vendors • Install and repair windows and doors • Study vendor manuals to understand the systems, components, and hardware of all products offered by Glo. • Schedule repairs, meetings, site visits, and maintenance • Maintain ownership of the repair until it is resolved, from beginning to end QUALIFICATIONS • 3+ years of unsupervised carpentry experience (framing homes, siding, hanging doors, installing windows, etc.) • Ability to read Construction Drawings (Floor Plans, Elevations, and especially Section Details) • Exceptional track record of being organized and detail-oriented • Capacity to manage multiple types of projects at the same time • Effective communication skills and presence • Clean driving record and ability to successfully pass a DMV check • Ability to lift 50 lbs. on a consistent basis • Ability to travel overnight domestically as needed with the possibility of remaining at a job site for multiple days • Some international travel may be required WHAT WE ARE OFFERING YOU • Competitive Hourly Wage Based on Experience • Simple Match Retirement Plan • Paid Vacation & Holidays • Flexible Schedule
