Back Me Up .. just for fun ... at your next band practice

Description

I Carry-The-Tune (sing lead and play guitar) on perhaps 20 tunes that are certainly Open Mic’ Ready. While I know or can easy-fake many times that number, only recently have I “gone solo”, careful in song selection and with perhaps a certain style, but I’m proud of what’s been created and secure enough to share. Maybe there's a complete (or near so) band out there looking for a change of pace - Wilmington Local (and probably "older"). Here's what I offer: At your regular afternoon/eve practice, instead of going over 867-5309 for the 11-hundredth time, y'all "re-listen" to these a few times, just to refresh your brains. I'll bring a guitar and small amp, maybe some charts, then "Carry the Tune"; y'all contribute what you think is appropriate... CAVEAT: tossing rotten tomatoes is "not appropriate". So “Back Me Up” on these familiar (or a few other) tunes - A one-off, more jam than practice, but different with the goal of a joyful music session for all: For No One - Beatles … Like the record I guess; I put a new ends on it. Powered Finger - Neil Young … in D and way uptempo. The Weight - The Band … a song all will know, I play it a bit mo’ funky Fool on the Hill - Beatles … Mostly like the record. Time - Pink Floyd … sort like the record, but not really at all, and Am. … maybe an original Boogie, “Day Drinking”, which borrows heavily from Wooly Bully. SO - a fun time going out on the limb … You House Rule's, which might include, "1 hour only", so you can get back to 867-5309. If ya’ll are interested - If not, that’s cool too. Just an idea.
