Lead Counselor - (Saturdays) Brookville, NY Saturdays 9:30a-3:30p Salary: $16.50/hr Brookville Center for Children’s Services is an Office of Children & Family Services (OCFS) approved and licensed Day Care Program and State Education Department (SED) approved program. Children are afforded an enriching experience and adhere to the New York State Standards of Early Childhood Learning. Activities such as music, arts and crafts, language, motor, pre-academic and technology are taught by appropriately credentialed staff. We are currently seeing a Lead Counselor to work in the BCCS Saturday recreation programs. All programs include a wide range of skill enhancement through music, arts and crafts, cooking, movement dance and indoor and outdoor play. In this role, you will: • Ensure that participants have structured activities planned and that activities are age and ability appropriate. • Assist in being responsible for the well-being and safety of the participants. We require: • High School diploma or equivalent required. • Prior experience working with children with developmental disabilities preferred. Brookville Center for Children’s Services serves students 3-21 years of age with intellectual disabilities, multiple disabilities traumatic brain injury and autism. Join us!
