Established local custom cabinet company looking to fill sanding department position. The main responsibility of this position requires assistance in the sanding process & prep of wood products for high end European style cabinetry. Applicants must have understanding of standard hand tools, basic sanding & finishing skills, be physically able to move & organize cabinet parts & miscellaneous items, understand & comprehend directives & paperwork and contribute to quality control. Experience will be helpful but willing to train the right person that is highly motivated & excited for the opportunity to learn a true craft. Good appearance, personal presentation and the ability to work well with others in a shop environment required. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES: - Sand & prep Euro-style cabinet components - Organize & complete processes per directives - Assist in other areas of shop when needed - Contribute quality control QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS: - Familiarity with finishing tools, including abrasives, hand tools & finish application equipment. - Read & comprehend shop drawings & cut lists - Safe operation of pneumatic spray equipment. - Good personal appearance & professional presentation - Personally organized, self-motivated, dependable & focused PAY BASED ON: - Previous finishing experience - Woodworking/Cabinet industry experience - Flexibility & attitude - Knowledge of finishing processes including stains, glazes, sealers, topcoats & touch-up.
