Hello! Afton Nature School, a growing five-star licensed program, is seeking additional teachers. Afton is a wonderful environment with competent, kind children. Our families are warm and respectful. You will be a team teacher with 3 awesome teachers.
An ideal candidate is healthy and active. They will embrace sharing nature with children daily. They will also be committed to facilitating children to reach their fullest competency through self-care and cooperative play in the classroom. We are not a big box daycare, we are a small program committed to developing kindness, empathy, and competency in children ages 1-6. All staff may be assigned to either classroom, all staff are expected to provide the care a child needs.
To be considered for a teaching position, you must be able to pass a state background check and have or get a negative TB test less than 1 year old. You will also need a current First Aid/CPR certificate or you will need to complete a First Aid/CPR certification. Starting pay ranges from $15-20 depending on education and experience.
