NEWARK, NJ — Authorities in Newark this week are offering a $5,000 reward for information about a recent hit-and-run crash that left a man dead on Nov. 6. In a news release, Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens said the victim, 55-year-old Kenneth Felton, was riding a bicycle on Madison Avenue between South 11th Street and South 12th Street when he was struck. The driver fled the scene, and Felton died en route to the hospital. Anyone with information about the incident is asked the contact the Essex County prosecutor's homicide and major crimes task force by calling 1-877-847-7432. Tips can me made confidentially.
