Covid immobilized our band from performing at several festivals and events so I decided to disband the band last year, then earlier this week promoters and agents for several large festivals called and wanted to book us. Most of my band mates are ready to hit the trail and start performing, however, before I commit to accept the gigs I need to find a replacement for second guitar and possibly a keyboard player. We primarily perform at multi-day rockabilly festivals, tiki shows and car shows, NEVER at bars or nite clubs. We perform at some private parties, but the pay has to be worth our time. If you are proficient at handling a second guitar position, are not constrained by a job that would prevent you from performing at multi-day festivals, your kids are raised, your wife will not interfere with taking time to rehearse, and you don't need the income from performing to pay your mortgage. Our song list contains music from 50's R&B, (Ray Charles, Chuck Berry, Larry Williams, Dion, Louis Prima) some country, (Hank Williams, Jimmy Skinner, Tony Joe White) a mixture of late 40's and 50's instrumentals (Duane Eddy, Link Wray, Xavier Cugart, Ike Turner) merged with music that some people classify as surf, (Dick Dale) in a nutshell primarily pre 1962 music. The music is not difficult but my arrangements can be, so, asking for a song list won't help. I'm a former Del Tone so know how important a solid rhythm guitar player is to a band, If that is you then give us a call.
