LAKEWOOD, CO — An all-clear has been given after the Lakewood Police Department worked with the Jefferson County Sheriff's bomb squad to investigate a "possible bomb situation," police said Tuesday evening. An investigation was underway at West Jewell Avenue and South Kipling Parkway, and by 6:04 p.m., police said there was no longer a threat. "The area is now opened up again and businesses are reopening," Lakewood police said in a tweet. The area was evacuated earlier in the evening but no homes were in danger, police said.
