Man Dies In Lakewood Crash, Investigation Underway

LAKEWOOD, CO — A man died Wednesday in a crash in Lakewood, police said. Officers were called at 9:38 p.m. to West 6th Avenue, between Wadsworth and Sheridan boulevards. The driver of a white pickup truck struck the center median in the eastbound lanes of West 6th, police said. When he got out of his truck, he was struck by a vehicle in the westbound lanes, according to witnesses. "Agents attempted lifesaving efforts, but the male was declared deceased on scene," Lakewood police said in a community alert. Like what you're reading? As of Wednesday night, the driver had not been charged for the crash. The investigation was ongoing.
