Description
Tree Registration for MABA 202TWO is open. Please read through the requirements carefully. 1. Only full registrants may submit a tree for the exhibit. 2. Entries will be divided into 3 classes for judging: • Professional – Vendors and artists who intend to make a living in the bonsai community. (Representing approximately 10% of exhibit.) • Novice – Presenting a tree representing a beginner skillset. (Representing approximately 20% of exhibit.) • Open – all others exhibitors. (Representing approximately 70% of exhibit.) 3. Open and Professional exhibitors must have maintained the tree as a bonsai for two winters. 4. Two trees may be entered for consideration. A second tree from the same exhibitor will only be accepted if space allows. 5. Each tree (or shohin display) entered must have a completed application form. 6. Entries will be accepted only between April 1 and May 15, 2022. 7. All material must be at the convention hotel by Thursday, June 23rd at 2:00 pm. (Notify the chairperson if this causes a hardship.). 8. Trees must be ready for display, clean, healthy and pest free. 9. Display stand, small figure, scroll, viewing stone and/or accent plant may be included. 10. Exhibitor must stay with their tree until all labels are completed and display is arranged. 11. François Jeker and Ted Matson will judge and critique trees. The decision of the judges is final. 12. No entries may be removed prior to the close of the show on Sunday, June 26, 2022 at noon. 13. Entries must be picked up between 12:00pm and 2:00pm on Sunday, June 26, 2022 14.
