Stroke Awareness Oregon is teaming up with Silver Moon Brewing for an exciting event benefiting SAO. At this event, we are beyond excited to announce that the Soul Benders, who’s lead vocalist - Steve Boatwright- had a stroke following a career to remember with Santana, Led Zeplin, Creedence Clearwater Revival, and more - will be performing. It’s our goal to gif the entre Central Oregon community an event to remember. You’ll have an opportunity to meet Steve Boatwright, lead singer of The Soul Benders, Debra Meyerson and Steve from Stroke Onward, and other influential people. Debra and Steve, Founders of Stroke Onward, will be riding their tandem bicycle across the country from the Pacific to the Atlantic. They are using the journey on the open road to raise awareness about stroke, aphasia and the need to support the emotional and identity journey in recovery from trauma like stroke.
