Women & Finance: Connecting Your Values to Your Vi$ion Has anyone ever asked you ‘What are your values’? Were you able to answer them immediately? If you were, did you take time to reflect and decide if the answers you gave were really YOUR values instead of the ones society generally places on us? Join us as we spend time discovering what truly matters to us and why knowing our values impacts our finances. Ultimately, we hope that starting this conversation and having discussion around the connection between values and relevant money topics will empower women to take action in their financial lives. There are many pieces that fit into a complete financial picture so we'll be hosting a panel Q&A session with: Peggy Collins (financial advisor), Hannah Myhre-Gaskill, MBA (financial advisor) and Jessica Beans. A dream project... The Lift came to life when husband and wife duo Seth and Ashley Doliboa saw a 120-year-old building in downtown Dayton that needed a lot of love. With Seth's experience as a custom home builder and Ashley's expertise in interior design, the vision came easily to revive what was once an ice cream cone factory in 1900 into a breath-taking, modern event space in 2021. A charming neighborhood... The Lift is located in the Historic Huffman District - about one mile east of the heart of downtown Dayton. This quaint area is known for its prominent Victorian architecture and friendly, small town feel. Currently, Historic Huffman is seeing a growth in locally-owned small businesses making it a trendy, up-and-coming destination for locals and visitors alike! Without the need to "flip the room" you and your guests are able to focus on the best part of your event: having non-stop fun! Let your vision come to life at The Lift! GIRL, ME TOO!™ is a non-profit organization that was established to promote the healing, empowerment and education of women and young ladies while encouraging healthy relationships amongst all women. GIRL, ME TOO!™ was developed during the personal struggle of two women looking at life through each other’s eyes. This experience sparked a multifaceted movement that seeks to change the way we as a female gender respond to certain situations as well as how we interact with one another. We are dedicated to helping our sisters heal from the pain of the past, while providing the tools needed to empower the future. Poetry has been a very powerful vessel in our growth. Allowing women from all walks of life to come together in the arts, mentoring, public speaking and education to give a voice to our situations. This movement has been memorialized with the honor of having April 7th named National Girl Me Too Day. Each time you hear Girl, Me Too you know that you are not alone.
