Snohomish County Mycological Society invites you to join us at our monthly meeting to learn more about the wonderful world of mycology.
Mushrooms fulfill a very important role in our ecosystem. Join us to develop an understanding of mushrooms and what they do for us. Marian Maxwell will discuss their ecological roles such as: the mycorrhizal mushrooms, those that recycle decaying matter, the less known carnivorous mushrooms and the parasitic mushrooms that damage and kill plants. We will also discuss the mushrooms that are the most sought after in the spring by mushroom hunters in the Pacific Northwest. Please join us for a presentation from a mushroom lover’s perspective!
Marian Maxwell studied Mycology under the renowned Dr. Daniel Stuntz and received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Washington.
