Description
Hello. Redmellon, is award-winning developer in New Orleans. An award-winning housing developer that was walloped by Hurricane Ida. An award-winning developer that has filed 97 individual insurance claims. An award-winning housing developer whose chairman and founder is spread very thin right now. His Right-Hand-Man (who is a woman) had the audacity to go into early labor. (While her husband was saying, “Push!, Push! Push!” I was saying, “Hold him In! Hold him In! Hold him in!”) She just got back from maternity leave but she is working part time.
We're adding another crew: this is where you come in.
We need a capable, experienced Superintendent/Project Manager for a four -month job. We will be self-performing a lot of the Ida repair work. You will be supervising several small crews of unskilled and semi-skilled laborers as they move from house to house: 1. Pressure Wash/Yard, 2. Drywall/Paint, 3. Carpenter and Helper, and 4. Cleaning. In addition we have two or three roofing and HVAC subs that are moving from house to house.
We have two competent staffers who can order supplies, let crews into houses, and run to Home Depot because the work has ground to a halt because the carpenter doesn't have the right size drill bit. Your job is to supervise everyone, provide direction, check the quality of the work, and to Keep. The. Work. Moving. Keeptheworkmoving. Keep the work moving. Also, keep the work moving.
You will also help solicit small crews for cleaning, drywall repair, painting, and carpentry to augment our “go-to” contractors.
You must have a truck. We reimburse for mileage. You will be a 1099 Contract worker paid weekly. Qualifications include familiarity and comfort with a range of general construction skills well as strong communication and organizational skills. Candidate would be expected to perform small repairs him/herself as needed. Compensation will be commensurate with experience - please tell us what you expect to make per week.
