THE POSITION Interport’s affiliate 635 Secure Parking has an immediate need for a dependable, team-oriented individual to join 635 as a Yard Coordinator. The Yard Coordinator is responsible for securing and organizing 635’s container storage yard throughout his/her work shift utilizing a company-owned yard hustler, pickup truck, and other machinery. In addition, the Yard Coordinator may be required to perform other duties from time to time including snow removal, sweeping, pothole repair, painting, and weed cutting. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Keep the yard neat, organized, and safe at all timesEnsure all drivers, vendors, and yard visitors obey 635’s rules and regulationsAssist and direct drivers picking up and dropping off equipmentLift and relocate improperly parked equipmentProcess security gate transactionsPerform security checks and inventory countsComplete special projects as required including yard maintenanceRemain cross-trained in various areas of 635’s operationAssist with implementing Emergency Procedure processes per Assistant Operations Manager’s instructions MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) credentialValid driver’s license and a clean driving historyStrong verbal communication and interpersonal skillsWillingness to work overtime, including off-hours “call-ins” and some holidays Employment is subject to the completion of due-diligence inquiries, including a background check and a pre-employment medical examination incorporating a drug and alcohol screen, which will take place after a conditional offer is made.
