April is National Kid Safe month and Premier Martial Arts locations across the country have teamed up to present a Family Kid Safe Workshop. April is National Kid Safe month and Premier Martial Arts locations across the country have teamed up to present classes, workshops and fun events designed to equip children with the skills and information needed to keep them safe. Join us on April 23 from 3-4:30PM for our Kid Safe workshop. This is a community event (Recommended Donation $30 to go toward the Police Department, Free with the purchase of Kid Safe Parent's Night Out: register for Parent's Night Out Here: We understand that for your child to be truly "Kid Safe" that they must understand and use two types of self defense. Physical, which will give them the tools needed to keep them safe. Those tools range from striking techniques, to body positioning, and even when and how to run. And mental self defense, which empowers them with the awareness and common sense to keep them safe. We will discuss the Green, Yellow and Red lights of safety and how to respond appropriately if the child feels their boundaries are being violated. These are BIG topics but so important to discuss. Following the workshop is our Kid Safe Parents Night Out from 5-8PM. We will have pizza, treats, games, and more. Children will also create their Kid Safe ID Kit. The price for Parent's Night Out is $30/child. Due to the sensitive nature of these topics, this month's workshop and parent's night out is best suited for children ages 7-13.
