She is currently training as a Myofunctional Therapist. In her own words "If you would have told me that I would end up back in Clinical Dental Hygiene 10years ago, I would have told you that you were crazy! Well here I am and I love it! As a Dental Consultant, I had an opportunity to see what was happening in the dental field and where it was headed in terms of patient oral care. Corporate dentistry is taking 10% or more market share every year, by 2016 corporate dentistry will own 90% of the dental offices. This is alarming! Clinical care is not about taking care of the patient anymore, it is about how much production is being made every day. Most dentists do not own these clinics and are handcuffed. This is a sad trend we are seeing."
