Great Plains Diabetes is hosting a 4-day camp for children with diabetes who have completed kindergarten through fourth grade. Kids at Camp Live Well will learn the skills and behaviors needed to manage their diabetes and lead a healthy lifestyle. Camp will also include activities such as swimming, crafts, nature activities, yard Olympics, and other fun activities occur during the week. Snacks will be provided. Medical and program staff all have a long standing history of either living with diabetes or caring for people with diabetes. Many with a long history of working at the American Diabetes Association Camp Discovery. Families will need to send sack lunches each day. For those coming from out of town, a block of hotel rooms are being secured at the Drury Plaza Hotel Broadview - Wichita for $89 per night.
