HOWARD COUNTY, MD — More than two-thirds of the voters in Howard County who cast their ballots favored former Vice President Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential election, according to preliminary results from the Maryland State Board of Elections. Biden received 69.1 percent of the votes in Howard County, while 28.4 percent went to President Donald Trump. Statewide, 62.1 percent voted for Biden (D), while 35.6 percent favored Trump (R), based on unofficial results. As of Wednesday evening, a winner has not been determined in the presidential race as votes continue to be counted in key states. But within minutes of polls closing Tuesday night, the Associated Press called Maryland for Biden. In Howard County, early votes have been tabulated, while 15 of 17 voting centers had reported Election Day results, state elections officials said after 10 p.m. Wednesday. Mail-in ballots will continue to be processed until Nov. 13, after which point results will be made official. Coleman has been a trial attorney for more than 20 years in Howard County, as well as Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Prince George's County, Anne Arundel County and the District of Columbia.
