Come and listen to the best of Konpa, Kizomba, Zouk, Afro-beats, CABO love and more with DJ Guelas, DJ Skinnee, DJ Vasco, DJ Solo. Additionally, enjoy the best Haitian cuisine and culture at First Republic Lounge & Restaurant. Kindly note there aren't classes offered in this event. No food will be served on the boat but there's a cash bar. Food and alcohol will be available for purchase at First Republic Lounge & Restaurant. Lastly, kindly keep in the mind the events will take place in 2 different states. The parties in JUNE 10th and 12th will be in New Jersey, while the BOAT party on JUNE 11th will be in New York. The airport code is: EWR ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- HOTEL SUGGESTION WATT HOTEL Tapestry (by Hilton) 1403 Irving St Rahway, NJ 07065 Folks, kindly keep in mind this is just a suggestion and the information below involves public transportation. It's economically friendlier. You can opt to use a car ride service such as UBER or LIFT instead of public transportation from this HOTEL. You can also choose to book a different hotel based on a better decision or fit for your travel. Now, based on the number of people who contact me about this option, I can work with the hotel manager at WATT HOTEL to work with him. By MAY 31st, I'll tally the # of people who inbox about their desire to stay that hotel and have that discussion. Based on the # of people, a discount is very possible. Lastly, I'm suggesting WATT HOTEL because of amenities around the hotel. It is walking distance from coffee shops, restaurants, pizza restaurants and more! It’s the middle of downtown. There are a lot to do in the area. Other hotels that are slightly closer to the restaurant are mostly for airline overnight travelers. They’re on the highway and don't offer local amenities. You can get to the hotel by train right now from the airport (providing you land at NEWARK airport before 2am that day). No need to go outside! From the airport, follow the sign to take the AIRTRAIN. Once at the AIRTRAIN platform, look for information that tells you which one to take to NEW JERSEY TRANSIT platforms. Once arrived, buy a ticket to Rahway, then go to the platform/side that goes to TRENTON, NJ. From there, wait for your train. Kindly keep in mind not every train that stops at the airport goes to Rahway. Therefore, carefully pay attention to the monitors in the terminal to make certain the ensuing train goes to your destination (Rahway). Once in Rahway, WATT HOTEL is across the street. THAT SAID, HERE WE GO! :) 1. WATT HOTEL across the street from the Rahway Train Station. You can take the train for most of this entire journey. A car ride service is mostly unnecessary for the large part of this suggestion. 2. The Rahway train station connects straight to the Elizabeth, NJ train station and the New York train Station. 3. FOR THE PARTY ON FRIDAY JUNE 10TH, take the train from Rahway Train Station (again which is across the street from the WATT HOTEL) to Elizabeth (just 2 stops). Go to the platform that goes to New York (even though you're stopping in Elizabeth). Once you get off that stop, First Republic Lounge & Restaurant is 1 block away from there. A car ride service isn't necessary. It's walking distance. Now keep in mind that'd require you to purchase a train ticket prior boarding the train. That train ticket would be for Rahway to Elizabeth and can be purchased from terminals on the platform. You'd need only a ONE-WAY ticket. It's about a $3 fare. The reason for that is because the Friday party ends at 3am on Saturday morning. All trains to go back stop running at 2am that early morning. Therefore, you wouldn't have use for a round trip ticket. With that said, you'll need to UBER (or any other car ride service) back the hotel. See the address above. FOR BOAT PARTY ON SATURDAY JUNE 11TH, coming from the WATT HOTEL, take the train from Rahway Train Station to Penn Station New York this time. Make sure you're on the platform that goes to New York. Once you've arrived at Penn Station New York this time, proceed to go out outside the train station to the 32nd st or 33rd street exit. Once outside, call an UBER to the following address: SkyPort Marina 2430 FDR Drive New York, NY 10010 P.S BOARDING START FROM 11:59PM to 12:30AM. DO NOT GET LEFT BEHIND. GIVE YOURSELF PLENTY TO TIME TO GE TO THE PORT. THIS IS ABOUT AN 1:30MINS TRIP FROM THE HOTEL TO THE PORT. HERE'S A RANGE OF THE TRAIN SCHEDULE FROM ~7PM THAT NIGHT. Coming back from the BOAT, take an UBER back to the New York Penn STATION. All trains start to run at 5:40am on Sunday mornings. Therefore, you have a little time between 4am and 5:40am to get to the train station. From there, you'd buy a ONE WAY ticket to go back to Rahway Train Station and WATT HOTEL. That are would be about $10. 6. FOR PARTY ON SUNDAY JUNE 12AM, leaving for WATT HOTEL, do buy a round trip ticket from Rahway to Elizabeth. To go to Elizabeth from the Hotel, make sure your on the platform that goes to NEW YORK. To go to Rahway from Elizabeth, make sure you're on platform that goes to TRENTON. The party starts from 6pm to 12am. Since the party ends earlier this time, you'll have use for the other ticket to take the train back to Rahway at or before that last train at 1:52am. here's the train schedule back to the hotel that night: 12:34am 12:44am 1:27am 1:52am 7. If you're flying back home, simply catch the train from Rahway to Newark Airport. You'll need to buy a ticket from Rahway to New Airport for that trip.
