Looking for a family dog

I am looking to adopt a medium-size family dog, not a puppy. I am a foster parent so the dog will need to be friendly around kids and youth of all ages. We have a yard but looking for a dog that likes to be inside and likes cuddles. We have looked at the Whatcom Humane Society for several weeks but have had no luck.
